There are many professionals questioning what they are doing – and whether they have the right balance in their lives. Apparently a small village in Spain has so overspent investing 3 years ago in facilities for its 3,000 inhabitants (many of which they have had to close down as unaffordable to run) that it will take them over 7,000 – yes, seven thousand years to clear the debt.
How many of us do the same with searching for envied lifestyles – and miss the obvious delights right under our noses? Maybe you do not need to find a change in your career, but maybe take time to reflect on how to get more from what you have got – and so can enjoy the sunshine of the May weekends, in preparation for the next weeks, months and years ahead of great personal fulfillment.
